Aris Karastergiou
INTRODUCTION
Aris Karastergiou is interested in neutron stars and their observable phenomena. His work focuses on radio pulsars, from detailed studies of individual objects, to understanding the population. He is also interested in peculiar phenomena that show some pulsar-like emission properties, such as Fast Radio Bursts, and interpretation of time-domain data in astrophysics. He leads the Pulsar group at Astrophysics, and is PI of the Oxford team delivering software for pulsars and fast radio transients for the Square Kilometre Array. He currently leads an international survey of known pulsars using the MeerKAT telescope. Aris also holds a Visiting Professorship at Rhodes University in South Africa.
