About "Inclusive Space"

The Oxford Space Initiative, in collaboration with The Karman Project will host a series of workshops exploring “Inclusive Space.” Please be welcome to join us for multimedia exchanges on the issues in space commerce and governance, cross-regional and cross-disciplinary collaborations. We will explore the topics of social science, space governance, international cooperations, peaceful use of space, commercial space, as well as arts and cultural efforts in sustainable development in space.

About “UK-Africa: collaborations in space scenes”

We are happy to announce the date of the workshop “UK-Africa: Collaborations in Space” on 27 July, 17:00-21:00, BST at the Saïd Business School, Lecture Theatre 5.

In this workshop we ask the following questions:

  • What are the insights of the current practices and policies in the UK and African space scenes from different stakeholders, eg. government, space agencies, startups, regional organizations?

  • The existing collaborations between those two regions, what’s lacking and what needs to be improved?

  • What are the other regional collaboration possibilities in policy making, international relations, international trade between the space-faring nations, as well as between the traditional space power and the emerging ones.

  • For a broader discussion, the wishlist from the panelists and participants of the decision-makers or intermediaries when we foster regional collaborations, eg. international trade experts, governmental organizations, international organizations, cross-regional investment fund, legal experts, technology transfer labs, universities, industry parks/clusters
