INTRODUCTION

Prof Robert N Eberhart (Anderson School of Management, UCLA) is one of the core faculty for the Oxford Space Initiative. His early training on exoplanetary optic experiments, coupled with his substantial entrepreneurial experiences and now a research profile in entrepreneurship and innovation, provide the basis for his contributions. As the co-chair of the US and Japan's Entrepreneurship Council, he created and led the effort for US/Japan cooperation on planetary exploration. He teaches for the Initiative, moderated the Oxford Smart Space speaker series, and continues to support the early career researchers affiliated with our work. His work with Oxford colleagues explores how policy-making makes templates from the current organizational structure produce unexpected outcomes and drive institutional change. They hope to understand better how the institutions that enable the proliferation of space entrepreneurship in the face of daunting prospects will evolve.

RESEARCH GROUPS AND COLLABORATIONS

I collaborate with March Ventresaca on a new paper on how policy-making takes templates from the current organizational structure produces unexpected outcomes and drive institutional change. I am also working with Eamon Malloy on a paper that examines how false attribution embeds and becomes objective realities.
