INTRODUCTION
Michael Fradley is a Research Associate on the Endangered Archaeology in the Middle East and North Africa (EAMENA) project. His interests are in understanding human occupation of the Middle East and the key issues affecting preservation of cultural heritage in the region today. His approach uses satellite remote sensing and historic aerial imagery to map archaeological landscapes and processes of heritage degradation in the MENA region. He is also interested in the ethics of earth observation in the region and the politics of imagery access, most notably through his work on reforming the Kyl-Bingaman Amendment in the US restricting imagery resolution over Israel and Palestine.
