Speaker Info:

Paul Brooks (1985, Physics) graduated from St. Catz College, Oxford. From 1991 to 2011 he worked for the Defence Research Agency Space Department, delivered the UK’s first space-based surveillance camera (MWIR), designed “TopSat”, the World’s first high-resolution small satellite and founded the World record holding “Zephyr” solar-powered high altitude UAV. Following 6 years as a director at Surry Satellites (SSTL), Paul formed Prismatic in 2011, to first rebuild the Zephyr programme and then develop a new, more capable HALE UAV, PHASA-35. He is also the founder of the Oxford Space and Astronomy Society.
